Was there 6/29/19. Located in downtown Lake Worth.
The venue has been renovated within the last 7 months and looks pretty nice (unlike our experience a few years ago, under different ownership, when a mouse scurried across the floor). We were the only people in the place when we got there at 6:15pm - not a good sign.
When we were seated our server was prompt and we had bread placed on the table. Slicing the bread caused it to crumble not slice. It was clear the bread was old and had been reheated - not a good sign.
For starters I had the calamari and my wife had the onion soup - they were both EXCELLENT!! What a nice surprise.
The major issue is that this venue wants to be a high-end steakhouse; their prices were, like the venues they aspire to be, very high, in fact, exceedingly high. They are NOT a Ruth's Cris nor a Capital Grille but their prices are at those levels - not appropriate for a Lake Worth eatery.
Given their pricing we both ordered ChopHouse Steak, i.e. hamburger with mushrooms and a side of mashed potatoes - although relatively plebeian fare it was a very generous portion (1 lb.) and was really quite good. The potatoes, also a very generous portion (actually too much and at $10 priced way too high), were tepid and had to be returned for additional heating - they missed the mark.
Near the end of our visit a party of 8 people came in, still too few to make the evening a success for the venue.
Would I go back? Not with those prices (everything a la carte, prix fixe menu not available). Would I recommend it to friends? No.
For two starters two large hamburgers (no wine, only water) and one side the bill (including tip) was $100!! Way outta sight for that area. -

Callaro's doesn't disappoint! It's a great addition to Lake Worth. The steaks and prime rib are delicious!! We keep ordering what we love however I can add the calamari was also super fresh and delicious. Can't skip on the homemade desserts either. Friendly staff and wonderful, personable management team! Top notch service.

My in laws were in town and we wanted to take them to a nice steakhouse. We came here over a year ago, and really enjoyed the food, but experienced not so great service. Nevertheless, we were excited to come back after the remodel. Ironically this time we had amazing service, but the food was simply not very good.
We came for the prime rib. Me, my husband, and my father in law all got one. This was NOTHING like the prime rib we had last time we were here. It was bland, no seasoning, we had to ask for salt. It couldn't save it. The horseradish sauce is also different then I remember, and not in a good way. I have had prime rib at dozens of establishments in town, and this was honestly the worst I've ever had.
We got the escargot special for an appetizer, it came out cold. We did inform our waiter so he could let the kitchen know. We didn't bother finishing it, and it wasn't taken off the bill (we also didn't ask).
My mother in law got the Delmonico steak, it came out rare, not medium rare, and was also under salted.
The saving grace of our meal was the French onion soup, and the bread pudding dessert. Both were phenomenal, but not worth the $300+ we spent on dinner. I hate to say that whoever was running the kitchen tonight will be the downfall of the establishment. On a Friday, the restaurant was barely half full, and I think I know why. I overheard a neighboring table send their steak back, so I know we weren't the only ones disappointed.
I was super embarrassed, we spent all week talking up this place, and we all left extremely disappointed. I can honestly say we won't be back, and I'll be warning my friends/family not to bother. There are so many better places within walking distance, and if you're looking for a fantastic steak, this isn't the place to go. -

They call themselves an upscale unpretentious steakhouse. I agree with unpretentious but if you were interested in spending the money to eat at a steakhouse I would probably pass on this restaurant.
I made the mistake to dine at a chophouse when I was only interested in a Salad with shrimp. But the salad with shrimp along with fried calamari was not what you expect from a steak house. Although I was told by our guests at our table that their steaks and burgers were very good, but that still does not make up for subpar salad that had miniature shrimp on it.
Seriously, have you ever been to a steakhouse where the salad was not very good? I am sure not often.
